About Adriamycin..The Red Devil Marianne writes:
I am a 56 year old artist, from a family of artists. I am also a 3 x cancer survivor (and advocate). My art is very reflective of my cancer journey.

I first drew large charcoals in 1994 when I was diagnosed at age 28. I was alone in my little studio, getting my anger out on large newsprint with messy charcoal, which I quickly drew and discarded. They were not meant for anyone to see. I was 28, alone and knew no one with my cancer. All I ever read was horrible, sad things that I couldn’t and wouldn’t accept. If I had been diagnosed 10 years prior, my lymphoma would have been a death sentence.
